Description

European Biodiversity Conference

For the past eight years, the ELO has held an annual conference on Biodiversity, inviting high level speakers to come and engage with fundamental issues surrounding the maintenance and management of a sustainable, but economically sound countryside. Our conference seeks to find synergies between economy and environment through the exploration of integrated landscape management, whilst highlighting the role of private land stewardship in this process.

European Bee Award

The European Bee Award was launched for the first time in 2014 by the European Landowners’ Organization and the European Agricultural Machinery Association CEMA with the aim of contributing to the promotion of common solutions for the benefit of biodiversity. The European Bee Award rewards farmers, landowners, land managers or rural entrepreneurs who contribute with an outstanding and innovative project to the protection of bees and other pollinators in the farmed environment.

Organized by

The European Landowners' Organization (ELO), created in 1972, is a unique federation of national associations from the 28 EU Member States and beyond, which represents the interests of landowners, land managers and rural entrepreneurs at the European political level. Independent and non-profit making, ELO is the only organization able to stand for all rural entrepreneurs. ELO aims at promoting a prosperous countryside through private property dynamism. Its Secretariat is based in Brussels.
